Welcome back to our Staff Spotlight series!
Here we will introduce people from our JTB Communication Design (JCD) team.

Today we have three staff members from our international congress management team: Reiko Takahashi, Nayuko Abe and Megumi Takita.

Reiko Takahashi

Current Position / Project
"I take care of the planning and managing of various international congresses."

Past Experience
"In my years as a congress manager, I have worked on a large variety of international congresses, both in Japan and abroad."

What do you think is most important aspect of your work?
"Something that I find very important in our line of work is doing our best in offering a global service. Every country or region in the world has different standards and perspectives. I do my best to be consious of these various perspectives and standards and combine them in my work the best I can to offer the best kind of service."

How would you like to expand JCD`s global business?
"We are now one of the largest Meetings & Events companies in Asia. I want our company to further expand to not only become the largest in Asia, but also one of the largest Meetings & Events companies in the world."

Any words to our future clients?
"We will use the best kind of creative & innovative thinking when working on your project and we are looking forward to working with you! "

Nayuko Abe

Current Position / Project
"I am mainly involved in sales, promotion, and on-site management for academic conferences."

Past Experience
"Including my time at a previous company, I have been working in convention and congress management for about 7 years, managing various projects."

What do you think is most interesting aspect of your work?
"I find it interesting to be able to be involved with the latest findings of academic research in various fields. I try my best to create appropriate conferences for the diverse presentations."

How would you like to expand JCD`s global business?
"My main focus has been mainly managing in Japan, but I would also like to manage conventions in other countries."

Any words to our future clients?
"When comparing JCD to other convention managers across the world, I feel confident about our work and what we can offer our clients. Please feel free to ask for our assistance, for both events in Japan as well as around the rest of the world!"

Megumi Takita

Current Position / Project
"My main field of work is in the preparation and management of various international meetings and conferences. "

Past Experience
"Ever since joining JTB Communication Design more than 10 years ago, I have been part of the international conference management team and have been involved in various events. Be it academic conferences or trade association meetings, I am experienced with a lot of fields."

What do you think is most interesting aspect of your work?
"Managing an event or a conference can quickly turn into a hectic business, as every project brings challenges with it and the clock never stops ticking. To me the most interesting part of my job is always looking at how we can respond appropriately and speedy to high demands or requests from our clients. Bringing challenges to a successful conclusion is a very rewarding aspect of our job."

How would you like to expand JCD`s global business?
"I want JCD to become a company that regardless of where in the world, we will be known as one of the Professional Congress Organizers to go to. We will keep moving forward and progress our work to become a key company in the world."

Any words to our future clients?
"Come and hold a conference in Japan, a country that provides sophisticated services, and experience what JCD has to offer. I am looking forward to working with you on your next project! Thank you for reading my Staff spotlight interview."
